Victims of Thursday’s rainstorm in Yendi, Northern Region are yet to receive help from the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO).The assembly is now assessing the extent of the damage caused by the rainstorm before any assistance can be given.Yendi Municipal Chief Executive Issah Zakaria told Multi TV’s Hashmin Mohammed that the assembly was yet to decide what assistance to give the affected persons.The NADMO Director in the Region, Bigah Coffie, pleaded with residents to be patient as his outfit is now taking stock of the extent of the damage.Several Yendi residents were rendered homeless as a result of a storm.Strong winds ripped the roofs off of school buildings, markets, and government agencies, but no casualties were recorded.
