The Ghana Football Association has appointed former Switzerland women’s head coach, Nora Hauptle, as the gaffer of the Black Queens.
The announcement was made on Thursday, January 5, as the Ghana FA continues to change the technical team of the various national teams.
Hauptle replaces Berry Ladies coach, Mercy Tagoe, who had been at the helm of affairs for the senior women’s national team in the last years.
Joyce Boatey-Agyei and Aboagye Dacosta will assist the 39-year-old as they seek to help the Black Queens rediscover their best form.
Boatey-Agyei is a former coach of Ghana’s female U-15 side while she also is the current Physical Educations teacher at Kumasi Girls Senior High School.
A former player of Asante Kotoko, Dacosta currently handles AshTown Ladies in the Ghana Women’s Premier
Their immediate task is to guide the Black Queens towards the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and the third edition of the WAFU Zone B Women’s Cup of Nations.
