Onesta Ghana Limited has formally distanced itself from the “Youth in Palm Plantation in collaboration with Kade Traditional Area Project,” issuing a strong disclaimer over what it describes as unauthorised association with the initiative.
In a statement released in Accra, the agro-industrial firm clarified that it has no links—past or present—to the project, which was officially launched on Friday, March 20, 2026, at the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel.
“Onesta Ghana Limited categorically states that it has no current or ongoing business relationship, affiliation, partnership, licensing agreement, or any form of association with the Youth In Palm Plantation Project or its organizers.”
The company stressed that it neither authorised nor approved the use of its name, logo, or branding in connection with the project.
“The company further clarifies that it had no previous connection to the project and did not authorize the use of its name, logo, or any branding materials during the launch or in any related promotions.”
Firm Denial and Legal Warning
Onesta Ghana went further to disassociate itself from all aspects of the initiative, including its operations and public representations.
“Onesta Ghana Limited does not authorize, endorse, support, or take any responsibility for the project, its services, statements, actions, or activities. Any representation suggesting otherwise is unauthorized and inaccurate.”
The company also issued a direct warning to the organisers, demanding an immediate halt to any use of its intellectual property.
“The company strongly warns the organizers of the Youth In Palm Plantation Project to immediately cease and desist from using its logo, name, or any other intellectual property in any form of communication or media.”
It added that it is prepared to pursue legal action if the situation persists.
“Onesta Ghana Limited reserves all its legal rights and will take appropriate action against any continued unauthorized use of its brand or intellectual property.”
Background: A Growing Player in Ghana’s Palm Oil Sector
Onesta Ghana Limited is an agro-industrial enterprise focused on sustainable palm oil production and agribusiness development. The company has positioned itself as a key player in efforts to revitalise Ghana’s palm oil industry.
Recent initiatives include the Redgold Oil Palm Plantation Project (ROPP)—a large-scale public-private partnership aimed at developing a fully integrated palm oil value chain, boosting local production, and reducing Ghana’s dependence on imports.
The project is expected to span over 10,000 hectares and create significant employment opportunities, particularly in rural communities, while strengthening Ghana’s competitiveness in the global palm oil market.
In addition, the company has introduced a palm oil traceability framework designed to modernise the sector, enhance transparency, and ensure high-quality production standards.
Operating through a vertically integrated model, Onesta Ghana oversees the full value chain—from cultivation and processing to refining and trade—aligning its operations with sustainability and international best practices.
