Two mass movement societies, People Power Uganda and Economic Fighters League Ghana are calling on Ghanaians to join them on a protest march over government’s silence on alleged injustices going on in Uganda.
The two groups claim will embark on a peaceful march scheduled for Sunday morning at the Black Star Square against the alleged tyranny of Yoweri Museveni.
A leading member of the Economic Fighters’ League, Hardy Yakubu called on for all concerned persons to join them to march against the alleged abuses.
“If you stay at home, it basically means you are okay with the government of Ghana and other African countries to keep quiet while all these atrocities are going on in Uganda.
“We are coming out with a simple message thatis Africa is bigger than an individual’s quest for power…” Yakubu JoyNews.
On his part, Diaspora Coordinator for People Power, Namata Serumaga-Musisi said the move was to solidarise with Uganda and create awareness in a time when many there cannot speak for themselves due to oppressive regime.
