After helping Ghana secure a fifth World Cup berth last weekend, Black Stars left back Gideon Mensah and midfielder Elisha Owusu returned to club football for French Lig 1 side Auxerre on Sunday.

Mensah played the full throttle of Auxerre's 2-2 draw away at Stade Rennes, while Elisha was a second half substitute and lasted 22 minutes.

The leftback who started Ghana's 5-0 win over Central African Republic in the penultimate FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifier in Morocco won three tackles and completed 32 accurate passes in the encounter that saw his side secure a vital point.

However, Elisha who managed less than half an hour in the game had zero shots, assists, anc goals.

Ghanaian photographer, Bismark Adjei (Vell Marty Pictures), watched the match at close range and captured these special moments in the game.
