The Ghana Police Service as part efforts to relief people in the hard times of Covid-19 is supplying water to areas of the capital without the essential of life.
DSP Peter Okyere who is Director of Transportation for the Service said they are distributing water to some communities in line with the president’s directives of providing free water to citizens.
He assured the public of more of such interventions reminding the citizenry that "they are friends in these hard times."
On Tuesday, residents of Ofankor in Accra benefited from the free water supply as part of efforts to reach out to communities in need as Ghana battles Covid-19 Pandemic.
Four water tankers were on grounds in Ofankor supplying community pipe-points.
The excited residents who spoke to JoyNews said the lockdown period had been especially hard as they had no water to observe one of the most important protective protocol of washing hand under running water.
