The Ministry of Information held a press briefing to inform Ghanaians on the steps government has put in place to ensure the effective administration of the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccines nationwide.
Minister for Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah and Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr Patrick Kuma Aboagye outlined the processes required to ensure Ghanaians who received their first dose are vaccinated for the second time to attain complete immunity.
This follows some 350,000 AstraZeneca vaccines procured by government in its objective to attain herd immunity.
Ghana is expected to commence its second phase of the Covid-19 vaccination exercise Wednesday, May 19.
