The government through the Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has indicated that the introduction of new taxes is to enable the government to settle debts accrued during the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to Mr Oppong Nkrumah, it is essential for Ghanaians to come on board and assist the government's plan to help place the economy back on its feet.
Today on Newsfile, host, Samson Lardy Anyenini together with his panelists brought clarity to the imposition of taxes by the government.
Also, some Ghanaians have raised concerns that the AstraZeneca vaccines procured by the country are unsafe after reports that the vaccine leads to clotting of blood.
France, Germany among other countries have halted the usage of the vaccines, leaving many Ghanaians worried on the status of the vaccines.
This and many were discussed as health personnel and the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) per their assessments have reported that the vaccines are safe for use, hence such rumours should be dismissed.
