Last week, Parliament rejected the 2022 budget which was presented by the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta.
Even though the Majority were not present to participate in the exercise, the Speaker said their absence could not prevent the House from proceeding with the business of the day.
However, the agitated NPP MPs are of the view that Parliament has not constitutionally rejected the budget.
Joy News’ Evans Mensah in this regard held a conversation on “The budget rejection: What has to give?” with the following guests as they speak out their views on the pressing debate.
The guests were; former Member of Parliament for Tamale Central, Inusah Fuseini, Executive Director of Africa Centre for Parliamentary Affairs, Dr Rasheed Draman, Dean of UPSA law School, Prof Kofi Abotsi and Professor of Finance and Economics of University of Ghana, Prof Godfred Bokpin.
