Police in the Northern Region have mounted a search for three men who allegedly attempted to steal iron rods and other building materials being used for the construction of affordable houses at Sanerigu.Martina Bugri of Radio Justice reports that the three individuals were busy loading stolen items into their unregistered KIA truck when the police arrived, causing them to flee on foot.They escaped but left behind their vehicle, which is currently in the possession of the police.According to Bugri, some persons have taken advantage of the abandoned project and the lack of security at the site by stealing building materials.Police Public Relations Officer Ebenezer Tetteh said the police have received names believed to be the perpetrators’ and are closing in on the suspects.
