An officer with the Duayaw-Nkwanta station of the Ghana Police Service (GPS) in the Tano North Municipality of the Ahafo Region, Sergeant Brown, has allegedly shot himself to death.
The incident, which occurred on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the Duayaw-Nkwanta charge office around 5:30 p.m., has left residents of the area in shock.
According to sources, the 40-year-old police officer was married with two children.
The police administration in the region has commenced an investigation into the incident.
Meanwhile, the body has been conveyed to the St. John of God Hospital in Duayaw Nkwanta for autopsy and preservation.
