Editor of the Insight Newspaper a leading member of the Committee for Joint Action (CJA), Mr. Kwesi Pratt, has said that President Mills should not think of winning the 2012 general elections with the mediocre performance from his ministers whom he describes as suffering from verbal diarrhea. Mr. Pratt, on a private radio station in Accra, Radio Gold's Alhaji & Alhaji programme last Saturday submitted that most of Mills' Ministers consider speaking on radio as the mark of competence and when given the microphone, they suffer from a lot of verbal sickness. According to him, it is about time the president changed things before he is voted into opposition adding that "our ministers must wake up and work and also must learn how to talk and when they talk they must show respect to those who helped them to occupy those responsible positions". Mr. Pratt continued that politicians should also remember that workers also have gotten the same flesh as they have and must be given the necessary amenities. He recalled that the organizations such as the Nurses and University Lecturers also during the period of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) were striking against them adding that as at that time people in the country did not say they were being backed by the then opposition parties, so the ruling government should stop the blame game and focus on the issue. The CJA Guru noted that although the state of the economy does not make it possible for the state to meet the needs of all workers in the country it would have being possible for the government to pay them the 18 month eras. "Somebody goes to parliament and after four years takes home 800 million as end of service benefit and how do you expect the teacher to react after serving for almost 20 -30 years. We live in a country where the ex- presidents earns higher then the sitting president. Don't they buy from the same market with the teachers and the nurses" he quizzed. The worried man pointed out that Ministers who come on air to comment on issues must demonstrate humility and moreover cut their coat according to their size, "because we can never have a situation where one side continue to enjoy than another side" The radio fire brand suggested that the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) shouldn't forget that they were voted into power because of the bad attitude of the opposition NPP.
