Member of the Council of State, Mr Emmanuel Adzei Anang, was at the weekend honored by the Bethel Congregation of the Presbyterian Church at Kpone, for being elevated to that high office.
Also honoured by the church was Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Patience Ashorkor Quaye, Head of the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit at the Criminal Investigations Department (Headquarters), who, among eight personalities worldwide, recently received international recognition as a heroine in anti-human trafficking.
The two members of the Bethel Presby Church at Kpone were presented with citations which urged them not to be complacent, but to aspire to attain greater heights and laurels in future.
Preaching at the Service of Honour on the theme: "How To Grow In Wisdom and in the Favour of God," Mr Emmanuel Oko Adjetey, Presbyter of the Church, reminded the congregation that the two personalities were being honoured because they put their trust in God, and had for that reason, found favour in God’s sight.
Mr Adjetey, therefore, asked them to trust God so as to find His favour.
The Reverend William Quaye, Minister in charge of the Bethel Congregation and husband of DSP Quaye, was optimistic that the Lord who had began that good thing in the lives of the two members of the Church, would guide them in all their endeavours.
This, he said, would bring honour and dignity to the Church, and also inspire others to aspire to greater heights.
Mr Anang and DSP Quaye expressed appreciation to the Church for the honour bestowed on them, and pledged to serve the Lord even better in their new positions, in order to bring honour and glory to His mighty name.
