On Friday, April 21, 2023, the Old Students’ Association of the Presby Boys’ Senior High School (PRESEC-Legon) will be having the Ɔdadeɛ Torch and Bonfire Night.
Tagged as the leading high school alumni event in the country, the event which is open to the public will take place at the PRESEC-Legon school premises.
Since its inception, the Torch and Bonfire Night has served as an occasion not only to reconnect with old school mates but to wind down and meet alumni from other schools.
The event forms part of a weeklong commemorative set of events for the 85th anniversary celebrations of PRESEC.
This year’s event is the first since the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to Ɔdadeɛ Global Director of Communications, Ɔdadeɛ Chris Fiifi Johnson, the old students were excited to have the event back.
"The enthusiasm and expectations for the PRESEC Bonfire has been unbelievable over the years and we were not surprised when old students and indeed past students from other schools kept asking when we will resume it; this Come Back Edition of the Bonfire is particularly special for us as over the period that we had cancelled it, PRESEC-Legon has gone on to win the National Science and Maths Quiz for a record seven times and there's been changes in the leadership of the Presec Old Boys Association", he said.
Ɔdadeɛ Chris added that it is also special as PRESEC-Legon is celebrating it’s 85th anniversary.

Patrons of the event will experience activities such as the torch light procession, fireworks display, musical performances from some of Ghana's biggest acts, games, with food and drinks on sale to create what has been labeled Ghana's biggest high school alumni gathering.
There will also be induction of the 2012 and 2013 year group into the Ɔdadeɛ fraternity.
