President Akufo Addo has lifted the limit on the numbers of persons who can attend conferences, workshops and award events.
Addressing the state yesterday, August 16, the president stated that “the limit on the number of persons who can attend conferences, workshops and award events, has now been lifted".
This, per his statement, is "subject to the maintenance of social distancing amongst participants, fresh air ventilation of the premises, and a two-hour limit for each session”.
In a previous address, Akufo-Addo placed some restrictions on conferences and awards ceremonies. Although they were allowed to run, there was a limit on the capacity of attendees, as part of steps taken by the nation to fight against the spread of the Coronavirus.
He, however, added that beaches, pubs, cinemas, and nightclubs are still to remain closed until further notice.
