President John Evans Atta Mills returned home Tuesday night from the United States to a rousing welcome from party supporters who thronged the Kotoka International Airport.President Mills spent a week in the US at the invitation of President Barack Obama which also saw him sign some business deals.Addressing party supporters at the Kotoka International Airport, President Mills whose comments about his government’s unprecedented achievements have attracted criticism back home, insisted he has done enough to deserve a second term.He said it is only his detractors who fail to see the records of his administrations work for the past three years but cautioned that no one was going to lie his way to victory come December. Insults also, he counseled, will not win the elections.Vice President John Mahama, some ministers of state and other members of government were at the airport to welcome the home. Meanwhile an Economist, Dr. Theophilus Richardson has challenged the President’s claims that his government’s achievements are unprecedented. He said politicians have been using macro-economic indicators for propaganda but as an economist, his objective view is that neither relative poverty nor living standard has improved to merit a claim of extraordinary achievement.
