Ghana's U-20 women's team beat Nigeria in the first match of the two-leg international friendly match series at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday.
The Black Princesses are now gunning for a double when they play the second game after winning 3-2 win in the opening fixture.
Coach Robert Sackey's side were the dominant side from the start as striker Florence Dadson scored twice in the 7th and 45th minutes of the first first half.
The Falconets returned from the interval a much better opposition with Esther Sunday pulling a goal back after she capitalized on a defensive mix-up to score.
However, Ghana soon re-established their two-goal lead as midfielder Elizabeth Addo scored the third goal on 72 minutes for the Black Princesses.
Four minutes after Addo's volleyed goal, Desire Oparanozie scored to cut Ghana's lead.
The two teams will conclude the two-match series on Thursday at the same venue as the matches forms part of preparations by both nations towards their participation at the up-coming FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Japan next month.
