On Tuesday, June 25, the historic halls of the Royal College of Physicians in London were filled with anticipation as Prof. John Gyapong, the immediate past Vice Chancellor of the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) in Ghana and the incoming Secretary General of the African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA), stepped forward to receive a prestigious accolade.
Prof. Gyapong was awarded a Fellowship of the UK Faculty of Public Health (FFPH) through Distinction, a recognition reserved for those who have made outstanding contributions to the science, literature, or practice of public health.
