Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom has challenged the Black Satellites to qualify for the next stage of the FIFA U20 World Cup in Turkey.
Coach Sellas Tetteh and his team face a make-or-break assignment against USA this evening in the Turkish city of Kayseri for their final Group A match.
The Black Satellites have lost their last two matches against France and Spain and need to win and hope to finish as one of the best four third place teams for a place in the round of 16.
Inkoom who was a key member of the 2009 team which won the tournament in Egypt wants the players to punch above their weight and avoid a humiliating first round elimination.
"I have watched the two matches and for me is the same coach we use to say fantastic Bobovic who guided us to win the 2009 World Cup," he told Joy sports
"For me I will talk about the players because if you are doing something and you know your father is not helping, you need to help yourself in some way because this the time they need to do something seriously.
"I’m not saying they are not playing well, I’m a player and if I say somebody is not good then I’m not been fair. What I want to say to them is they need to put everything aside, work hard and stay focused because this is the time to make history."
