Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt Rev. Prof. Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante, is urging President Akufo-Addo and his government to continue committing to God in their second-term of office.
He applauded Akufo-Addo for using the phrase 'The Battle is the Lord's' since his 2012 election campaign till date and also trusting in God.
Delivering a sermon at the thanksgiving service organised by the Akyem Abuakwa State in honour of President Akufo-Addo, he said, "if the President and his appointees will continue to seek the face of God in managing the country, they will succeed."
The Okyenhene Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin, also urged the president to keep to his faith.
He asked him not to be demoralised by naysayers but continue to deliver that which has been assigned to him.
He lauded Nana Addo for his exemplary leadership and introduction of various development projects and policies in the country.
"At the end, Nana Akufo-Addo will leave us a country where it is economically prosperous and yet socially-just. A Ghana where a child who wants to go to school can find a desk and good teacher to learn from.
"A place where no longer men and women will be restricted, unable to find work to take care of their family that time will be over," he stated.
President Akufo-Addo also pledged to remain committed to developing Ghana.
"Thank you all for trusting in me, I will never fail you," he added.
Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana made a presentation to the President and the Vice President.
The presentation included a bible, a brochure and other Presbyterian Church souvenir which contains the history of the Presbyterian Church of Akyem Abuakwa.
