Sole Commissioner on judgment debts Justice Yaw Appau has given Bank of Ghana officials two months to provide documents covering judgement debts paid between 1992 and 2012.
Joy News’ Anny Osabutey, who attended the Commission’s sitting, reports that the bank received the ultimatum after failing to produce the requested documents on Tuesday.
Officials of the bank went to the Commission with documents covering 2010 and 2011, complaining that their data have not been digitized and that getting hard copies of the requested documents has been arduous.
According to Osabutey, the bank claimed to have dispatched officials to the National Archive to retrieve documents relating to judgment debts paid during the specified period.
