The Black Princesses have received the backing of Sports Minister Nii Lantey Vanderpuaye to excel at this year's FIFA U20 Women's World Cup in Papua New Guinea.
Lantey fulfilled his promise to the team by releasing the needed funds for their trip to Australia later today.
The team will be in Australia for a week before leaving for Papua New Guinea for the tournament which starts on November 13.
“They need our support and prayers, I know is been difficult but I believe they will be motivated with the little that we have been able to do for them,” he told the media.
“I want them to do better than what the Black Maidens did in Jordan, and I believe they can go far and the tournament.
“I will like to urge them to go all and out make Ghana proud.”
Ghana is in Group D together with France, USA and New Zealand.
