The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) has disbursed a total of GHȼ450.07 million to 251,576 pensioners for the month of September, 2024.
This payment, made on September 19, 2024, encompasses pension benefits under both PNDC Law 247 and Act 766, highlighting SSNIT's commitment to supporting retirees in Ghana.
Among the pension disbursements, the highest monthly pension under PNDC Law 247 was GHȼ186,777.58, while the maximum pension under Act 766 reached GHȼ26,509.66.

Conversely, the lowest monthly pension for existing pensioners was GHȼ409.10, and new pensioners received a minimum monthly pension of GHȼ300.00. This range illustrates the varying levels of support provided to retirees based on their contributions and pension plans.
Notably, for September, an additional 996 pensioners received benefits compared to those who were paid in August, reflecting a continued increase in the number of beneficiaries.
SSNIT pensioners can conveniently access their benefits through their respective banks, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for retirees.
The next scheduled pension payment is set for October 17, 2024.
