Standard Chartered Bank has celebrated this year’s Learning Week under the theme: ‘invest in yourself’.
The five-day learning experience was aimed at driving awareness among staff about the importance of self-development and build learning habits.
The objective was to help employees craft their growth plans, learn from others, and solicit feedback to support their development.
Staff of the bank were taken through thought-provoking talks, an exhibition on available learning opportunities within the bank, quizzes, lunch-and-learn session as well as a special toastmasters session.
Head of Human Resources, Standard Chartered Bank Ghana Limited, Gifty Fordwuo said the Learning Week is imperative due to the advancement in technology, especially in the banking sector.
She said the Week which is a catalyst for change reinforces the bank’s commitment to staff development.
Gifty Fordwuo added that stimulating and collating feedback, ideas and perspectives during the Learning Week will inform future.
