An autopsy has reportedly confirmed that Stephen “tWitch” Boss died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
The beloved “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” DJ, 40, was found dead by a hotel maid inside the Oak Tree Inn in Encino, Calif., Tuesday after he missed his check-out.
An autopsy was subsequently conducted by the Los Angeles Medical Examiner and Boss’ body is now ready to be released to his wife, Allison Holker, 34, according to RadarOnline.com.
The Post has reached out to the medical examiner’s office for confirmation.
A heartbroken Holker released a statement to The Post earlier Wednesday, confirming her husband’s death, saying: “It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us.
“Stephen lit up every room he stepped into,” the statement continued. “He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.”

Boss was best known as the DJ on DeGeneres’ eponymous daytime series, which he joined in 2014.
He was elevated to executive producer in 2020 and stayed with DeGeneres until the finale of her show in 2022.
The talk show host opened up about the death of her friend Wednesday afternoon in a statement received by The Post.
“I’m heartbroken,” the 64-year-old declared. “tWitch was pure love and light. He was my family, and I loved him with all my heart. I will miss him. Please send your love and support to Allison and his beautiful children — Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia.”

Boss got his start as a contestant on MTV’s “The Wade Robson Project” in 2003 and rose to household name fame on “So You Think You Can Dance” in 2008. He joined DeGeneres’ show six years later.
Boss and Holker, who is also a professional dancer, have been the hosts of “Disney’s Fairytale Weddings” on Disney+ since 2018.
The couple married Dec. 10, 2013, and just celebrated their ninth anniversary.
“It’s our 9th anniversary!! I couldn’t be more grateful to celebrate this perfect magical day!!!” Holker posted to Instagram Saturday.
“Saying YES to @sir_twitch_alot has been one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life!! I feel so blessed and loved!! I love you baby and I will never take you or OUR love for granted! I LOVE YOU.”
