Reggae/Dancehall musician Stonebwoy is disturbed by the news of the alleged brutalisation of Ashiaman residents by soldiers on Tuesday dawn.
This comes after soldiers stormed Ashaiman looking for answers following the alleged stabbing to death of their colleague by unknown assailants in the area.
Taking to his social media handles, Stonebwoy condemned both the military’s actions and the alleged murder of the late officer calling them “acts of violence and lawlessness.”
The ‘Baafira’ hitmaker prayed that the men found culpable in these cases are brought to justice.
“It's 9 am in New York and I'm just waking up to the news of what's going on in my beloved Ashaiman. I unequivocally condemn all acts of violence and lawlessness, whether it relates to the brutalisation of innocent civilians or the unlawful killing of a member of the armed forces. May all those culpable be found out and made to face the law fully,” Stonebwoy’s post read.

Background
There have been reports of alleged brutality by some soldiers who are said to have stormed Ashaiman since midnight, Tuesday.
In some videos on social media, a young man is heard screaming amid sounds of flogging, while a neighbour quietly films from a window nearby.
Others are allegedly flogged or manhandled if they flout the military’s directives.

Ashaiman MP Ernest Norgbey confirming it to Accra-based Starr FM described it as an ‘unofficial curfew’.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) is yet to comment on the matter.

In #ashaiman, police in Ghana were giving door to door delivery to residents for killing a young police officer.

Is this thing truly happening in Ghana, the killing of the soldier is condemnable and should not be in place, but as professionals, is this the best and right way to tackle this? very dissappointed of the beatings and brutalizing of the men in uniform.
