Strategic Communications Limited (Stratcomm), a communications and reputation management company that facilitates information sharing among different stakeholders, has launched its 15th anniversary celebration in Accra.
It is on the theme: "Raising the bar in the communication industry .in Ghana and Africa".
Activities for the year-long celebration included the media launch, 15th anniversary celebration at La Palm Hotel and a thanksgiving service.
Other activities are reading sessions with school children, media fora, launch of Business in social action Ghana, and 'Stratcomm Africa at 50' praise jam.
Speaking at the launch, Ms Esther Cobbah, the Chief Executive Officer, said the company was celÂebrating 15 years of communication business with all its challenges.
She said that even though communication is esÂsential in our daily lives, including business, government and national development, it is often
sidelined but recognised only when there is a crisis.
Ms Cobbah, however, noted that the availÂability of accurate information to human beings is increasingly being seen as a human right and said "this should make us appreciate the imporÂtance of our own responsibilities in the communication industry."
.
In an address, Mr. Ebenezer Tetteh, OperaÂtions Manager of Stratcomm Africa, said it had gained recognition nationally and internationÂally, as it undertook assignments for organisations in and outside the country.
He said Stratcomm Africa had established branches in Kenya, the Gambia, Liberia, as well as the United States of America, often building on invitations to provide service outside Ghana.
In addition, he said, Stratcomm Africa continues to strengthen its capacity to fashion communication solutions that were relevant in different countries, communities, industries, companies for individuals and in more general context.
