Chief Executive Officer for Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah has directed leaders of the various aggrieved customer groups, to engage and solicit views of their members, for onward submission to the company’s corporate management.
The directive forms part of ongoing broad consultation between the CEO together with management, the general public, government, and internal and external stakeholders.
The troubled gold dealership, Menzgold, in October this year, began verifying documents from customers as part of an elaborate process to settle their locked-up funds
The customers who had embarked on several demonstrations over their money had also threatened legal action while others had appealed to the government to intervene.
Several unions and groups were subsequently formed to help affected members stay connected.
But addressing the payment issues in a statement signed by Head of Communications at Menzgold, Nii Amarh Amarteifio, urged all customers to express their concerns and suggestions through the right channels.
“Having received a lot of contributions and suggestions from the above-listed entities, this directive will afford the various identifiable group leaders and their members the right opportunity to also partake in our ongoing broad consultations.
“As much as it is the wish of the Chief Executive Officer to meet with the various leaders, other equally important engagements are making it extremely difficult for him to meet with the leaders.
“I hope this directive will be adhered to by the leaders in order for us to have a comprehensive and inclusive final payment schedule and formula as we resolve to bring finality to this issue,” the statement read.
