Ghana international Charles Takyi has signed a three years contract with Germany Bundesliga II outfit Energie Cottbus sportsfilla.com can exclusively reveal.
The outgoing AC Horsens midfielder spent 6-months in the Danish first division side and has taken delight in signing a contract with Manager Rudi Bommer’s team.
The 28 year old played 12 matches out of 16 games will be missed by the AC Horsens Faithfull’s after his exceptional exploits in the Danish first division league.
Speaking to sportsfilla.com a delighted Takyi believes he will leave no stone unturned to adding he is still eye a spot with the Black Stars of Ghana in the near future.
"Is been great for me at in here, but if you are a player, you have to think positive and move on and I think the Germany first division league is one of the difficult and great leagues in the world, my aim now is to join them during their pre seasons and help them if possible in any way I can”.
Meanwhile the attacking midfielder, who played for Ghana at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, says he is eye a return back into the Black Stars team in the near future.
“I have been doing well lately I want to help the Black Stars of Ghana if given the opportunity, I was in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea and I know how the feeling was, I want to be part and help my country qualify to Brazil world Cup, is been difficult since I left the Black Stars but I will do everything possible to be back in the team”.
