Taxify, Europe and Africa’s fastest-growing on demand ride-hailing platform has launched in Accra, Ghana. Hundreds of drivers have signed up and ready to go with 40% off rides this month.
Founded in Europe’s Estonia, Taxify’s key differentiating factor is that the company believes in treating drivers better with the understanding that happier drivers make for happier riders and superior ride experiences.
Operations Manager of Taxify Ghana, Albert Aryee, said, “Accra is an exciting and vibrant market with a majority youth population constantly on the move. Taxify is here to contribute to healthy competition in the market by ensuring that drivers can take more money home driving on our platform and riders can save money at the same time.”
Taxify takes only 15% commission from its drivers, compared to the 25% that competitors take. To celebrate its launch, the ride-hailing app would be taking zero commissions from drivers for a limited period.
With operations in over 20 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Central America, Taxify is making it easier for people across the world to push a button and get a ride.
The Taxify app is available on iOS and Android.
