Gospel musician Siisi Baidoo has urged gospel music lovers who attend gospel events to be mindful of their conduct at such gatherings.
Sharing his opinion on people showering money on artistes during ministrations, he said the focus should rather be on Jesus.
He added that attendees should ignore anything that distracts from the purpose of the event.
The musician shared these thoughts during an interview with Roselyn Felli on Joy Prime’s Changesshow.
“I think that when we go for gospel events, the focus should be Jesus. Anything that tries to take away that focus, we shouldn’t hail it,” he advised.
He claimed that he has never witnessed such an incident at any of the events he has attended but said he would respond if it were to happen at his own event.
He also believes that the way an event is organised and planned determines whether individuals feel free to shower money on performers.
According to him, if someone were to do so unexpectedly, he would immediately question his management about why it happened.
“I’ll have to speak to my team and find out what the plan is for it because they’re putting a lot of protocols in place. So, I would want to find out what really their actions will be,” he said.
The 2025 edition of Siisi Baidoo’s Hollard Splendor Concert is scheduled for Sunday, November 9, at the Accra International Conference Centre. This year’s theme is “The Amen: Grace & Glory.”
