World-renowned single malt Scottish whisky, The Macallan has just introduced its 2024 limited edition of the Classic Cut series.
The Macallan Classic Cut 2024 Edition, is a higher-strength single malt created to deliver a full and heightened flavour. This edition, the eighth release in The Macallan’s annual Classic Cut series, celebrates the brand’s ongoing commitment to creating whiskies of peerless character.
The Macallan Classic Cut series, crafted by the Whisky Mastery Team, showcases a distinctive range of whiskies. Each year, the team explores different cask types to produce a new expression with its unique character. The Classic Cut 2024 is a distinct and unique instalment in the series.
The unique whisky reveals flavour notes of vanilla, tropical fruit and lemon. At full strength of 52.4%, the prominent character of the 2024 Edition is rich vanilla. When water is added and the strength is reduced to 40%, tropical fruit and lemon flavours step forward.
With an aroma of rich vanilla, orchard fruits, marzipan, citrus peel, fresh-picked herbs and sweet oak, the whisky conveys, rich vanilla, baked custard, milk chocolate, and lovely green apple with balanced Oak Spices when on the palate.
The Macallan's Classic Cut 2024 edition has been matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon American oak and sherry-seasoned European oak casks, resulting in an exceptional single malt that seamlessly provides patrons with a truly sensory experience that is in itself unique. This remarkable expression further reinstates The Macallan's unwavering commitment to crafting exceptional whisky, exploring multisensory dimensions and being inspired by the whisky's unique tasting notes.
Notably, the revered single malt Scotch whisky, The Macallan debuted the 2023 limited edition of the Classic Cut in West Africa at an exclusive event held in Lagos, Nigeria last year. In a collaboration with renowned Nigerian fashion designer Mai Atafo, The Macallan Classic Cut 2023 Edition debuted at his ATAFO Studio. The Macallan is also no stranger to the Ghanaian market, as it has held intimate groups of tastemakers for exquisite events in and around Accra over the last 16 months.
This year marks The Macallan’s bicentennial celebration and the brand is celebrating it across the world with a series of exceptional releases and curated events.
