First Deputy Majority Whip, Habib Iddrisu, is optimistic that there will be no trouble in Parliament on Tuesday, October 22.
This comes as both sides prepare for a tense sitting in the next 24 hours.
It follows the NDC MPs' signal of their intent to occupy the Majority side of the House, despite a Supreme Court directive that stayed the Speaker's ruling to oust four MPs for running as independent candidates ahead of the election.
Iddrisu criticized the move, stating that it only highlights the NDC legislators' desperation to secure power by any means.

Speaking on Joy FM’s Top Story, the Tolon MP mentioned that they would meet with the Speaker of Parliament to discuss the way forward before Tuesday's session begins.
He also dispelled claims that the government is attempting to invite a military deployment to the House on Tuesday.
"The NPP we are made up of 138, the NDC 137 and we are Majority, and we are not going to fight over that," he said on Joy FM Top Story.
