The Ghana National Amputee Football Federation has inaugurated a new Interim Management Committee to steer the affairs of the sport for a period of 12 months.
The three-member committee is made of Rev. Nii Amartey Adasah as chairman with Messrs Ignatius Elletey and Thomas Kwami Sosu as members.
The committee has been tasked to revamp the management of amputee football and to raise its profile across the country.
Chairman Rev Adasah told JOY Sports he is immediately “thinking of an advisory board that would comprise of people with background who will help in the federation’s management. This year we also have the African Cup of Nations in Kenya, we also have to find a way of raising funds to make this happen. Once we are able to get the right kind of people to help us, we will definitely get there and achieve our targets.”
The appointment of the three-member committee comes a year after former chairman of the federation Francis Adjetey Sowah was kicked out of office following alleged corruption and chaos among the playing body.
