The newly installed Dufia of Gbi-Kpoeta, Togbe Adom Dake X has promised to champion economic emancipation in his division.

He outlined investments in industry, energy, and real estate among others to ameliorate the local economy of the Gbi Traditional Area in the Hohoe Municipality of the Volta Region.

"We seek to spark economic growth in Gbi-Kpoeta by investing heavily in projects that can contribute to this purpose. Overall, these projects will create jobs, increase economic activity, and generate revenue for the community and its people by employing the active population. Some key economic projects we will improve include manufacturing, energy, real estate, and construction”, he said at his coronation ceremony.

To complement this, he and his kinsmen are focused on constructing a hospitality center, retail centers, and shopping malls, and restructuring local businesses.

“Striving to foster a beneficial societal influence within the community, we are committed to investing in pivotal establishments that align with this objective. This approach will enhance socio-economic connections while also yielding daily profits. The subsequent social entrepreneurial initiatives will be pursued to benefit Gbi-Kpoeta”, he said.

To this effect, a 6-member Economic Development Council has been instituted to champion these objectives, with Dr. Augustine Fritz Gockel chairing the Council.

Togbe Dake also indicated his commitment to enhancing the human resources in his area, by investing in the education sector.

He enumerated the establishment of scholarships for the underprivileged and, the provision of infrastructure, and learning and teaching materials to the community basic schools as some interventions in the sector.

Togbe Dake emphasized the importance of the well-being of his subjects, hence assured of committing resources to the upgrading of the health center and tree planting exercise.

He also impressed on the government to construct a bridge across River Dayi, to enable farmers to cart their produce to the market centers with ease.

Known in private life as Eric Kosi Adjasi, Togbe Adom Dake X is the Dufia of Gbi-Kpoeta and the Afa Ngor of Gbi Dzigbe State.

He is an experienced marketing communicator, vested in financial and facility management industries, and transport.

Togbe Dake X is currently the Managing Partner of ERICK GAINZ, a management consultancy firm in Accra with expertise in project finance deal structuring.

Togbe Gblahede III and Mama Dakesi IV both educationists were also out-doored at the coronation.
