In a resounding testament to its bold vision in healthcare innovation, Tolbert Health has been adjudged Ghana's Best Start-up Company of the Year at the 8th edition of the Ghana Business Awards, held at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra on Friday, October 24, 2025.
The recognition underscores the company’s impressive strides in developing a dual-app ecosystem designed to revolutionise healthcare delivery in Ghana and beyond.

According to the awarding board, the Tolbert Health Patient App empowers individuals to conveniently access medical services from their smartphones — enabling users to book appointments, connect with certified doctors, nurses, and midwives, manage their medical records, and receive personalised care at home.
The Ghana Business Summit and Awards is the nation’s premier platform for thought leadership, market linkages, and recognition of outstanding business excellence. This year’s event was themed “Creative Economy Revolution through Innovation: Redefining Ghana’s GDP Landscape.”
Speaking to the media after receiving the honour, CEO of Tolbert Health, Mr Tolbert Fianko Okai, described the award as a testament to his unwavering determination to bridge patients and healthcare providers through technology.
“This achievement reflects our years of dedicated service to God and country. It’s truly a dream come true and a confidence booster for greater things ahead. I dedicate this honour to our cherished customers,” he said.
Tolbert Health has firmly positioned itself as a credible and reputable leader in Ghana’s healthcare industry, leveraging innovation to redefine access, efficiency, and continuity in modern healthcare.
The event drew notable dignitaries, including representatives from the Office of the President, members of the diplomatic corps, traditional rulers, government officials, and captains of industry.
