TotalEnergies has announced the appointment of Daniel Mayieka as its new Managing Director, following the end of tenure for Olufemi Babajide.
Mr. Mayieka has 32 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
He has played significant roles in the TotalEnergies subsidiaries in Kenya, Uganda, Liberia, and Paris including serving as a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee, as well as Group Auditor.
Prior to joining TotalEnergies in 2008, he had worked with Chevron and Caltex in Kenya where he served in various roles traversing the countries of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Egypt.
In addition to his accomplishments in the fields of sales and marketing, he is recognised for establishing strong governance frameworks, internal controls and agile human resources, which have contributed to restoring competitiveness in the businesses he has led.
Mr. Mayieka holds an MBA in Strategy and a bachelor's degree in commerce.
