Transport minister, Mike Hammah has assured that the new transport system would serve the interest of all players in the sector.
This follows concerns by officials of transport union GPRTU that its members are likely to be discriminated against.
The new system to be known as Bus Rapid Transit will operate like the Metro Mass transit, only this time there will be more buses.
This means there would be more scheduled times and dedicated lanes for those buses.
Permits will also be issued to vehicles to ply only designated routes in the metropolis and cities.
But the GPRTU believes this new system will throw them out of business.
Transport Minister Mike Hammah has told Joy News the GPRTU will not be left out of discussions towards the introduction of the new system.
