The Trassaco Walk Club, along with prominent government officials, family, and friends, came together on a solemn walk to honor the memory of the late Former Ghana FA vice chairman Ade Coker.
The walk, held in Accra, was a heartfelt tribute to a man remembered for his loyalty, service, and leadership.
Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, who joined the walk, described Ade Coker as “a special friend and a good man.”
He added, “His legacy of loyalty, service, and leadership will never be forgotten.”
The walk was attended by notable figures, including Brig. Gen. Maxwell Obuba Mantey, Justice Srem Sai, Francis Xavier Sosu, and Dorcas Afo-Toffey, among others.
The late Ade Coker’s family, including his daughters Naa Asimenu and Baaba Ampah, were also present, offering strength and grace to the mourners.
The morning walk was a poignant tribute to a man who lived his life with conviction, courage, and compassion.
As the club’s tribute put it, “His name lives on in every stride, every cause, and every heart he touched.”
Ade Coker died on Saturday, May 31, 2025, after a brief illness at the age of 68.
Ade Coker had a long and distinguished tenure as the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), serving from 2009 to 2022. He lost his re-election bid to Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, the current chairman.
Outside of politics, Ade Coker also made his mark in sports, having previously served as Vice Chairman of the Ghana Football Association.
