The Tsito-Anyirawase section of the Ho- Accra Highway is once again accessible to traffic following repairs to a broken culvert, which had forced its closure due to heavy rains a few weeks ago. First Sky Construction completed the repair ahead of schedule.

CEO of the First Sky Group, Oliver Acquah-Techie, spoke to the media, expressing the company's satisfaction in swiftly addressing the damaged culvert that had led to the road's closure.

He emphasised First Sky Construction's commitment to delivering quality work promptly while meeting all required specifications within set deadlines.

Oliver Acquah-Techie mentioned that First Sky immediately mobilised its resources, beginning excavation work on Tuesday morning, and employed advanced technologies to expedite the repair process.

He noted that they are currently conducting tests to identify any potential weak spots that may require further attention in the coming weeks before the project's completion.

He added, "For now, the road is open to light vehicles only, with plans to accommodate heavy vehicles once the project is fully completed."

The Regional Director of Ghana Highways, Mr. Aminu Issaka Abubakar, assured the public that they are closely monitoring the strength of the newly constructed culvert.

He mentioned that while the road is presently accessible to light vehicles, laboratory tests and final strength assessments will determine when it can safely accommodate heavy-duty vehicles.

Mr. Abubakar praised First Sky Construction for their rapid response to the repair work, despite simultaneously working on the Have-Asikuma and Atiponku-Asikuma roads.

Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa, the Volta Regional Minister, provided insight into the government's infrastructure plans, mentioning the upcoming second phase of the Ho town roads project and the development of a dual carriage road from Anyirawase to Asikuma.

"The First Sky Group is working on the Adormi bridge towards Asikuma, and we anticipate that China Railways will continue the project from Ho, eventually connecting with First Sky Construction along the way," Dr. Letsa stated.

Dr. Letsa concluded by reaffirming the government's commitment to addressing road issues in the region, including the sections between Sokode Gborgame and Anyirawase.
