The University of Ghana is set to host its annual Corporate Tennis Championship on Saturday, 25 October 2025, at the university’s tennis courts in Legon, promising a vibrant day of competition, camaraderie and corporate sportsmanship.
Adding prestige to the event, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Professor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, will feature in a special curtain-raiser match to officially open the tournament.
Her participation underscores the University’s commitment to promoting wellness, active lifestyles, and community engagement among staff and partners.
This year’s championship has attracted teams from some of Ghana’s leading institutions, including the Volta River Authority (VRA), Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), Stanbic Bank PLC, and GOIL PLC, each expected to bring their top players for a day of lively and competitive tennis.
The event is supported by partners GOIL, Penfield School, Ghana Tennis Federation, and Verna Water, with organisation led by the University of Ghana Sports and Wellness Directorate in collaboration with RITE Sports Services.
