Uganda coach Bobby Williamson insists his allegiance is with the East Africans 'at this moment' even though he says it is 'very flattering' to be linked to the Black Stars.
The Scot's name was the surprise addition to the name with the Scotsman newspaper claiming Ghana is targeting Williamson after talks with Marcel Desailly stalled.
KickOffGhana.com understands Williamson has not put in an application for the Ghana job neither is he under consideration by the Ghana Football Association.
The former Hibernian and Kilmarnock coach though has left the door open for a Ghana approach.
"Its very flattering to be linked with the Ghana position as they are one of the top nations on this continent and have the potential to be a world force," he told KickOffGhana.com.
"As it is I also believe Uganda can be a real force and my allegiance is them at the moment."
Williamson is seeking to take Uganda to their first Nations Cup since they finished as runners up in the 1978 edition against Ghana.
