The Black Stars of Ghana lead the OS Mambas of Mozambique 3-1 in a crucial AFCON 2017 Nations Cup qualifier currently underway at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Frank Acheampong opened the Stars' account early in a first half with a cool finish after being played through beautifully by Majid Warris.
Without skipper Asamoah Gyan who is out injured the Stars returned from recess with John Boye and Jordan Ayew increasing the tally.
It was Boye who scored early on in the second half thanks to a scrappy goal with the Mamba defence men waving for a hand ball but the referee would have none of that.
The Mamba defender headed away a goal bound shot by Christian Atsu but the ball took a ricochet of Boye and entered the yawning net for the Stars' second goal.
Jordan Ayew increased the tally to three with an audacious flick that left the Mamba goal keeper completely beaten.
The visitors pulled a goal back thanks to a stupendous header from close range.
The Stars are on the verge of qualifying for the AFCON 2017 to be hosted in Gabon if the results remain the same . It will be maximum points from three games.
