The United States of America branch of Youth for Mahama (YFM) has been inaugurated after a special peace march session in New York which called on Ghanaians living in the US to rally behind President John Mahama ahead of the December general elections.
The group says, that successes chalked by the National Democratic Congress government under late President Mills and his vision for a better Ghana can only be complete when Ghanaians renew the mandate of the NDC under President John Dramani Mahama.
The spokesperson for the group, Alhaji Abass Adam Adamu said they were happy at the support and show of love Ghanaians demonstrated following the demise of President John Evans Atta Mills on July 24 this year.
He said that magnitude of support emphasized the confidence Ghanaians have in the policies and programmes of the NDC government, for which they (YFM) are confident, will ensure a one touch victory for President Mahama and the NDC.
He congratulated Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur on his assumption to the office of Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and subsequent nomination as running mate to President Mahama, and urged him to do all he can to provide the needed support for victory for the NDC come December 2012.
He urged the rank and file of the party to resolve all outstanding differences and work as a united front in order to ensure massive victory in the December general elections.
The spokesperson of the group also urged well-meaning Ghanaians not to give in to the propaganda of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP)
adding that Ghanaians have tested and tried their disappointments for two terms and have realized that they have nothing new to offer them.
