Following their 2-1 victory on Saturday over fellow FIFA World Cup™ participants Nigeria, USA arrived in Brazil this Monday morning. From Guarulhos airport in Sao Paulo, the team transferred to their hotel on Paulista Avenue.
The USA team will be training at their designated site at Barra Funda CT. "It's great to be here," Clint Dempsey said. "There are a lot of leaders on our team.
"There are some good kids coming up andwe are feeling good following our three recent wins.The World Cup is different,so we have to make sure we're ready."
The USA will face Ghana in their opening match on 16 June at Arena das Dunas in Natal. USA are in Group G alongside Germany, Ghana and Portugal.
Cameroon landed in Rio de Janeiro this morning and will travelto Espirito Santo State where they will be based for the FIFA World Cup.
In Group A, the Indomitable Lions make their debut in the tournament against Mexico on 13 June at Arena das Dunas in Natal. The African team will face Croatia on the 18th in Manaus, and close their Group Stage participation against Brazil on 22 June in Brasilia.
