Vice President John Mahama returned home last night to take over the reins of power as acting President.

John Mahama was in Nigeria to participate in the 50th anniversary celebrations of that country.

During the visit the Vice President met some Nigerian government functionaries to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
