Ghanaian international, Asamoah Gyan has been struggling with a thigh injury for some weeks now, which prevented him from playing in crucial matches for his country and club.
Today Shanghai SIPG faced off with Liaoning Whowin in the Chinese Super League (CSL) which ended in a full time score of 4 : 0. This places Shanghai SIPG on the 6th position with 5pts to it name.
Asamoah Gyan who is still recovering from his thigh injury couldn’t start for the club but was substituted for Elkeson in the 77th minute mark and ended the score lines for both teams on the 79th minute with Shanghai SIPG leaving with 4 goals.
