Clad in their uniforms and red armbands, some unemployed nurses and midwives took to the streets of Accra to register their displeasure over delays in their postings.
Wielding placards with messages that read - A hungry nurse is a potential killer, we are tired of staying home, Evidence-based unemployed nurses- they converged at Circle, Wednesday morning.
The over two thousand graduate nurses and midwives are protesting the delay by the Health Ministry in posting them.
They say several assurances by the Ministry of Health to get them posted have not materialized.
They knelt down to pray to God to touch the hearts of the authorities to speed up processes for their postings.
