Seun Kuti, a popular Nigerian musician and the lastborn of the late Afrobeat founder, Fela Kuti, has reacted to Korra Obidi’s twerk tribute on his father’s grave.
Korra had, during her visit to Nigeria over the weekend, visited Fela’s grave and performed a twerking tribute in his honour.
Sharing the video on her Instagram page, Korra said, “I gave baba an offering. We visited the grave site of Anikulapo Kuti today, and we all know that one thing Fela loved was a woman with Gyrating hips. So I decided to twerk for baba”.
Reacting to the dance, Seun Kuti appreciated Korra’s gesture, saying it was aligned with Fela’s vibrant lifestyle and cultural influence.
“You guys know what Baba likes, but you will never give him what he wants. E go better for you, my sister”.
The development has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with critics arguing that Korra's performance crossed a line.
