Angry youth in Cape Coast have attacked the police station in the area destroying dozens of properties belonging to the uniformed men, Sunday.
The attack, according to the youth is to avenge the death of one of their colleagues who died two days ago after the police swooped in on them.
Reports say the police raided the community to flash out criminal elements but one person died, a claim that has yet to be confirmed by the police.

The incensed youth besieged the premises of the police station and shattered a number of windscreens of vehicles belonging to the police men.
The attacks have led to chaos and some disturbances, Joy News' Central Region correspondent Richard Kojo Nyarko reported.
Some of the angry youth told Kojo Nyarko the police assaulted the deceased person, named, Kwasi Sabado, before putting him in custody.
He was later confirmed dead after he was rushed to the Cape Coast Metro Hospital.

Armed with machetes, stones, and any other weapon they could lay hands on, the youth marched to the police station and destroyed some properties belonging to the police.
The police fired water canons to disperse the angry crowd.
